Tourist injured after jumping from a cliff at the Cape of Cavo Greco in Ayia Napa


Greek tourist received a spinal cord injury after jumping from a cliff “Spilies” at Cape Greco, in Ayia Napa.

police say, that the 24-year-old man, arrived in Cyprus on vacation from Thessaloniki, I traveled to the area with two friends on Sunday, but, After that, both jumped into the water with the rock, he felt back problems and called for help. His friends managed to get him out of the surrounding cliffs and notify the authorities.

To the scene were sent to rescue the Coast Guard, fire service and ambulance doctors General Hospital of Famagusta district.

Employees of emergency services managed to transport the victim to the ambulance and take him to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed a spinal cord injury. He will remain in hospital for further observation.
